A 14-year veteran of General Electric Company and the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of California-based SPG Solar, Inc., Chris Robine is a leader in the industry of solar development and integration.

As the Chief Executive Officer of SPG Solar, Inc., Chris Robine oversees the development and construction of solar panels in commercial and industrial markets in the United States by leading over 130 resources nationally. Originally hired as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the company, Chris Robine was promoted to his current position after just nine months of work. Robine has established many new partnerships for SPG Solar, allowing the company to increase its current project budget to more than $1 billion. His work for SPG Solar has earned Chris Robine the recognition of the North Bay Business Journal, which recently honored him with its 40 Under 40 award.

Before joining SPG Solar, Chris Robine spent 14 years with General Electric Company in several management positions. As the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for GE Water Technologies, Robine increased the company’s revenue and EBIT while outsourcing accounting, financial planning, and analysis operations to India, which resulted in a 40 percent cost reduction without a disruption of routine. After two years, Robine was promoted to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for GE Infrastructure, where he partnered with the General Manager and Chief Financial Officer in the development of investor relations presentations, and he recruited top talent into the Infrastructure department while acting as a coach for the entire team. Chris Robine was quickly promoted to the Director of Finance for Integration Programs, part of GE Infrastructure. In this capacity, Chris Robine was responsible for reporting to the CFO on $45 billion worth of business including financial services, water, aviation, and energy platforms.

Chris Robine’s continued success led to his advancement to CFO of GE Renewable Energy, which involved the management of solar installations and wind turbine sales. Leading a group of 68 global finance resources, Chris Robine encouraged growth and strengthened operational performance while improving critical financial processes. Today, under the guidance of Chris Robine, SPG Solar has been named one of the Hot 100 Fastest Growing Companies in America by Entrepreneur magazine, and its clients have won awards for their solar systems from the U.S. Department of the Interior, the American Planning Association, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), among others.
