A renowned financial scholar with experience working for international banking institutions and several prominent U.S. universities, Christopher Ngassam remains a sought-after expert in his field. As Associate Professor of Finance at Florida A&M University, Christopher Ngassam brings a rich history in academia to his students at the School of Business & Industry. With a focus on micro finance, central banking systems, stock market oversight and regulations, and poverty alleviation education, Christopher Ngassam maintains interest in and a commitment to the advancement of developing nations. Conducting research on emerging stock markets, bank risk analysis and control, international finance, and more, Christopher Ngassam shares his expertise in several areas of the financial industry in his numerous scholarly publications. For nearly 10 years, Christopher Ngassam has held associate professorships in finance at various institutions, including Virginia State University, Norfolk State University, and Saint Cloud State University. Christopher Ngassam also served as Assistant Professor of Finance at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman and the University of Delaware. Furthering his own education through financial studies conducted at Harvard University and the University of Memphis, Christopher Ngassam has earned a reputation as an authority in the world of finance. Christopher Ngassam teaches to both undergraduates and graduates a wide variety of subjects covering corporate finance, investments, derivatives, insurance, risk management, and more. Christopher Ngassam completed his Ph.D. dissertation in finance, “Factors Affecting the Probability of Acquisition and the Magnitude of Premiums Paid to Target Shareholders: Evidence from the Banking Industry,” at the University of Texas-Arlington in 1989. While a doctoral candidate, Christopher Ngassam won memberships to the National Business Honorary Society and the Decision Science National Honorary Society. Christopher Ngassam earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1984, and a B.S. in Management from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1983, where he was named an Edmund J. James Scholar.
