Dr. Christopher Smart is currently an Attending Physician at Providence Seaside Hospital. Dr. Christopher Smart has been incumbent with the community medical facility since 2005. Previously, Dr. Christopher Smart served in the role of Staff Physician for Ferry County Memorial Hospital in Republic, Washington. In this capacity, Christopher Smart provided primary care for all segments of the patient population until his departure in 2005. Christopher Smart was recruited by Ferry County Memorial Hospital upon the completion of his residency at Sioux Valley Hospital in 2003. Christopher Smart finished medical school in 2000, at which point he joined South Dakota’s Sioux Valley Hospital. The University of Alberta awarded Christopher Smart the distinction of graduating from medical school Phi Beta Kappa. Previously, Christopher Smart earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry at Eastern Washington University. Christopher Smart graduated summa cum laude from Eastern Washington University in 1995. Dr. Christopher Smart holds accreditation with the American Board of Family Medicine. Additionally, Christopher Smart is licensed in both Washington and Oregon State. Christopher Smart now serves as Attending Physician at Providence Seaside Hospital, located in Seaside, Oregon. For more than five years, Christopher Smart has provided the community surrounding Seaside with impeccable health care. Dr. Christopher Smart is an experienced physician who specializes in family and emergency medicine. An advocate of directing evidence-driven work toward under served communities, Christopher Smart focuses his practice on providing exceptional care to the local rural population. Christopher Smart maintains involvement with the veteran community and is active in veteran affairs. A retired military man himself, Christopher Smart served in the British Army from 1978 to 1991. During this time, Christopher Smart participated in the Falklands War and operated in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. Christopher Smart was accepted to Eastern Washington University upon retiring from the Army in 1991.
