Dr. Clemens Gerstenkorn, a surgeon with 21 years of experience, currently practices as an independent surgeon. Then, Dr. Gerstenkorn found placement at the Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he remained for over three years as Consultant Transplant and Renal Failure Surgeon. Dr. Gerstenkorn pursued a subsequent position at the Universitätsmedizin Göttingen and the German Stiftung Organtransplantation Nord, located in Hannover, before joining the University of Witten Herdecke in Cologne.

A member of the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Chirurgie since 1993, Dr. Clemens Gerstenkorn also maintains membership in the International Society for Organ Preservation in the United States and the British Transplantation Society. Dr. Gerstenkorn has authored and coauthored a large number of articles published in medical journals throughout his career and training.
