A respected nursing home and rehabilitation center on Staten Island, New York, Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Inc. notably received a Quality Award from New York State’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization in 2008. Since 1967, Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center has provided the Tri-State area with a comprehensive range of medical services. Providing 24-hour medical care, Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center employs 850 staff members. With 70 board certified physicians on staff, the center delivers expert medical attention in a wide range of areas, including dietetics, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physiatry, clinical and behavior psychology, cardiac conditioning, and speech and language pathology. In association with Island Rehabilitative Services, Inc., the facility even offers a state-of-the-art, on-site hemodialysis unit. As a nursing home facility, Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center includes 428 long-term and 148 short-term residential beds and several specialized nursing units. Two nursing units are dedicated to caring for patients with dementia. In addition to nursing home services, Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center also provides short-term medical rehabilitation and post-hospital health care. Recreation programs available to all patients include activities such as music and pet therapy, painting, and special entertainment. In order to be admitted for services, patients must be at least 16 years of age. Committed to patient satisfaction, the center assigns a social worker to directly serve the needs of each resident. Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center admits patients 24 hours a day, seven days a wekk and accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurances.
