For nearly a decade, Alkeon Capital Management has served as a long short equity hedge fund manager that employs a research-intensive approach to buying and selling securities. With offices in Hong Kong and Boston, Massachusetts, Alkeon Capital Management has a finger on the pulse of the latest innovations from across the globe. The registered investment adviser’s founder, Managing Director, and Chief Investment Officer, Panayotis “Takis” Sparaggis holds advanced degrees in electrical and computer engineering, as well as in business administration, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Previously employed as a Portfolio Manager at Credit Suisse First Boston and CIBC Oppenheimer, Mr. Sparaggis spun out on friendly terms from the CIBC Oppenheimer Asset Management division in 2002 to start Alkeon Capital Management. Since then, he has built Alkeon Capital Management into a hedge fund manager with approximately $2.5 billion in assets as of March 2011.
