The sole proprietor of Darlene’s
Vacation Cabins, Darlene Jacobson began her business in the late 1980s to fill
the growing demand for comfortable rentals in the Sierra Nevada region. Aware
that many area guests do not enjoy “roughing it,” Jacobson works hard to ensure
that all of the 28 cabins available through Darlene’s Vacation Cabins meet her
guests’ high expectations. The cabins all contain multiple bathrooms, full
kitchens, televisions, working gas or wood-burning fireplaces, snow shovels,
and barbecues. The smallest cabin sleeps up to 6 people while the largest
offers accommodations for as many as 28. Some feature decks, microwave ovens,
dishwashers, wide screen TVs, and washer and dryers. With many locations to
choose from in the Pinecrest Lake and Yosemite areas, Darlene’s Vacation Cabins
features convenient access to area activities.

popular with visitors who love the quiet, the views of the Stanislaus River
from the deck, and its comfort. Many clients who rent from Darlene’s Vacation

ever stayed in.” Rental rates on cabins range from $650 to $2400 per week or
