Davidson and Licht
Overview
For
nearly a century, Davidson and Licht has aided residents of the San
Francisco Bay Area in finding the right piece of jewelry. Its current
owner, Jon Licht, represents the third generation of Lichts who have run
the company. The recipient of a degree from the University of
California, Los Angeles, he continued his education by earning
certificates in diamond grading and evaluation, graduate gemology, and
other subjects from the Gemological Institute of America. In 1988, he
purchased Davidson and Licht and has updated the firm while retaining
its commitment to excellence and appreciation of traditional elements
and fine, customized jewelry. Today, the firm includes locations in
Walnut Creek and Santa Clara as well as an online presence at
www.davidsonandlicht.com.
Known
as the “the fine jeweler of the East Bay” and selected as “Best Jewelry
Store” by Diablo Magazine, Davidson and Licht concentrates on watches
and designer jewelry such as engagement rings and wedding bands. The
company understands the value of long-lasting jewelry and utilizes an
in-house goldsmith and state-of-the-art computer software to rebuild,
refurbish, and redesign pieces brought into the store, including Rolex
watches. What differentiates Davidson and Licht from other distributors
is the personalized care it gives to its customers. Many big box stores
and Internet retailers do not provide consumers with the attention
necessary for discovering the right item and fitting it to a proper
size, but employees at Davidson and Licht work with each client to learn
what they want. To further enhance the consumers’ experience, each
store offers a children’s playroom, diamond-viewing room, and a fancy
guest bathroom.
