Fairhaven Baptist Church
Overview
Pastor Roger Voegtlin founded Fairhaven Baptist Church in Chesterton, Indiana, on October, 27 1970. With only 14 people initially attending the first service, Fairhaven Baptist Church has since expanded considerably. Recognized as one of the largest and fastest-growing young churches in the United States, Fairhaven Baptist Church supports a congregation that exceeds 5,600 members and offers numerous weekly worship services, church-based activities, speaking engagements, and a host of educational opportunities.
Launched in 1972 as part of the Church’s education program, Fairhaven Baptist Academy promotes a safe and productive learning atmosphere for grade school, middle school, and high school students. With a challenging curriculum, Fairhaven Baptist Academy strives for scholastic excellence while building character by emphasizing a respect for authority, cooperation, and patriotism. Located in Chesterton, Indiana, the Academy campus also supports modern facilities that include large classrooms, dinner hall, gymnasium, and library.
In addition to kindergarten through 12th grade level classes, Fairhaven Baptist Church also offers higher education courses through Fairhaven Baptist College. A small, personal college focused on providing outstanding academics to those seeking a Christian ministry-based career, the college excels at training pastors, assistant pastors, missionaries, and teachers. With a student library that houses over 30,000 volumes, the college includes a computer lab, chemistry lab, and a variety of facilities generally found only at larger universities.
Under the guidance of Pastor Roger Voegtlin, the church holds worship services on Thursday and Sunday, as well as a variety of programs throughout the week such as Ladies Soulwinning, the Reformer’s Unanimous program, and a worker’s meeting.
