Pastor
Frank Santora has ministered for years to bring people closer to Jesus and to
help them find the winner within themselves. Currently serving at Faith Church
in New Milford, Connecticut, he engages his congregation with a dynamic,
media-savvy flair, using analogies, props, and videos to emphasize the
relevance of the Gospel to everyday life. The New Milford campus of Faith
Church also boasts a lively and energetic group of musicians who perform during
services. At Faith Church, music is an important part of worship, and popular
modern artists such as U2, Chris Tomlin, Israel Houghton, and Martha Munizzi
inspire songs that create an exuberant, hand-clapping experience. Faith Church emphasizes
acceptance of all people, encouraging residents of surrounding areas in
Connecticut to come as they are, whether they are believers or non-believers,
as long as they remain open to hearing the Good News and reflecting on it. As a
non-denominational, Bible-based church, Faith Church takes a resolute stand
behind its interpretation of the Word of God. The church professes a belief in
the bodily resurrection of all believers, the celebration of the Lord’s Supper
as a non-literal commemoration of the Lord’s body and blood, the literal
existence of the Lake of Fire, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as the
ability to speak in tongues. Faith Church began life as Bright Clouds Christian
Church in Danbury, Connecticut, over 20 years before its final move to New
Milford. The church was located in a simple house on the corner of Main and
South Streets in Danbury until the ministry moved to Bethel, Connecticut, where
it took up residence in an old movie theater. From there, it transferred to a
building on Clapboard Ridge Road in Danbury and expanded to a new space in
1998. By 2000, a stewardship campaign was undertaken to build an entirely new
structure in New Milford. In 2005, the campus was finally completed as Faith
Church.
