Offering patients superior cardiac
disease care, Heart of Arizona Optimal Care possesses prevention services that
exceed what is provided under traditional insurance reimbursement models. A
leading cause of mortality, coronary events strike someone in the United States
every 26 seconds. Heart of Arizona Optimal Care was designed by Dr. Anne-Marie
Feyrer-Melk as a way of breaking free of the limitations inherent in the
current system, providing a higher level of care for patients. At Heart of
Arizona Optimal Care, the cutting-edge program includes specialized heart and
blood vessel evaluative technologies with advanced lab work including specialty
blood, urine, and salivary testing that identifies risks before they reach a
life-threatening stage.
At Heart of Arizona Optimal Care,
services extend beyond testing and analysis work to include unrestricted direct
physician access with a focus on professional consultation on nutrition,
fitness, and lifestyle issues. Dr.
Feyrer-Melk has an in-house PhD exercise physiologist and PhD Holistic
Nutritionist available for patients to expand on the necessary Lifestyle
portion of the program. For Dr.
Anne-Marie Feyrer-Melk, a consideration in creating Heart of Arizona Optimal
Care was to continue basic cardiovascular services for an existing patient
panel of 2,500. She made arrangements so that none of her patients would have
their basic care interrupted by the expansion of Heart of Arizona Optimal
Care’s services. Dr. Feyrer-Melk and her staff still accept traditional
insurance in covering basic cardiovascular care under the new program. Within
the Heart of Arizona Optimal Care model,
the aspects of treatment that exceed allowable health insurance billing incur
an additional retainer fee.
The Heart of Arizona Optimal Care
program emphasizes disease prevention for patients of all ages and medical
conditions. At Heart of Arizona Optimal Care, aging seniors benefit from the
program through a removal of the physician-patient barriers often associated
with health care in the United States. In those cases of patients with advanced
illness or advanced age, Heart of Arizona Optimal Care welcomes coordinated
communication with family members, caregivers, and other physicians. In cases
of hospitalization for cardiovascular disease, the program provides continued
support and assistance. Program participants also benefit from assistance in
drawing up a living will, which provides for family and loved ones in a case of
an unforeseen medical event. Heart of Arizona Optimal Care offers free group
sessions to educate patients about its new services, with sign-ups accepted at
(480) 941-0800.
