ISA Experience
Overview
Founded over three decades ago, the isa Experience functions as a resource for people throughout the world who seek to live the positive, full lives they desire. The institution offers a variety of experiential seminars in which students conduct close examinations of their current habits and feelings in order to architect changes. Today, the isa Experience organizes events across the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Sweden.
The isa Experience organizes three main events. The first, named for the organization, runs over a Thursday and Friday evening as well as all day Saturday and Sunday. Attendees participate in a variety of supportive discussions and enabling exercises. Following graduation, individuals receive the opportunity to form conclusions about what they gained through a follow-up interview and a Post Experience. The isa Experience also offers the Graduate Intensive Training course, a four-day program focused on group, one-on-one, and individual exercises; isa Outdoors, a camp-like event that catalyzes positive change through nature challenges and other activities; and the Young Persons Experience, designed to benefit youths between the ages of 6 and 13. Established in 1977, the isa Experience aims to implement beneficial exploration within all of its programs.
No matter which isa Experience event a person attends, he or she is encouraged to embody honesty and courage in examining his or her life. Whether participants arrive in search of solutions in their professional lives or their romantic or family lives, each receives complete acceptance. Leaders urge each individual to “wake up” and closely examine the aspects of themselves they enjoy, as well as those that cause unhappiness. Ultimately, the isa Experience affords people the license to take an active role in their lives, rather than sitting back and watching time pass.
