Dr. Sumayah Jamal is an accomplished dermatologist with more than 15 years of experience in the fields of clinical dermatology and dermatology research. After earning an MD-PhD from the New York University (NYU) School of Medicine, Dr. Sumayah Jamal completed her residency at the NYU Medical Center, where she subsequently held a number of teaching positions. In 2004, Dr. Sumayah Jamal founded the Ethnic Skin Clinic at Bellevue Hospital.
Dr. Sumayah Jamal brought the experience she gained at the Ethnic Skin Clinic to Keris Dermatology when she established this skin-care practice located in New York City. Keris Dermatology specializes in a number of cosmetic procedures designed to improve the appearance of the skin and ensure that clients feel better about how they look. For patients suffering from skin discoloration as a result of inflammatory skin conditions such as acne and mosquito bites, Keris Dermatology offers multiple courses of treatment. If a routine topical antioxidant and pigment reducing agent do not produce the desired results, Keris Dermatology may recommend a chemical peel or microdermabrasion sessions to remove the discoloration. If none of these treatments is successful, Keris Dermatology can draw upon the latest advances in laser technology to treat the discolored skin. Keris Dermatology uses laser technology to remove unsightly moles on the face and neck, as well.
Keris Dermatology also treats saggy skin on the face, jowls, and chin area that results from aging. To remedy this problem, Keris Dermatology employs the Skin Tyte treatment, which tightens and lifts the afflicted areas using infrared technology. The Skin Tyte treatment is not limited to the face; it can also be effectively used to tighten sagging skin on the abdomen and other areas of the body. Keris Dermatology also uses fillers to restore lost facial volume and soften deep facial creases caused by facial expressions repeated over many years.
