La Petite Baleen Swim Schools offer
a variety of classes for children and adults at state-of-the-art facilities in
San Francisco, San Bruno, and Half Moon Bay, California. La Petite Baleen’s
courses are taught by qualified instructors who are adept at training students
of various ages and who cater their lessons to best serve swimmers of differing
abilities.
Ribbon level courses meet once a
week for 30 minutes and provide children with the continual training and
support needed to gradually advance their swimming skills. Students attending
these classes are grouped by age and ability, and they receive achievement
awards for their progress. La Petite Baleen organizes several specialty
courses, which focus on parents and their babies, groups of children 7 years
old and up, and students with special needs. The School’s Baby and Me program
encourages bonding between parents and their infants, ranging in age from 2
months to 18 months. These family-oriented classes teach babies how to become
comfortable when submerged in water. La Petite Baleen also offers instruction
for toddlers from 14 months to 3 years old. These courses encourage kids to
develop respect for the water by providing them with an interactive aquatic
environment in which to play and learn.
The School’s private and
semi-private courses accommodate children who need extra emotional support to
feel comfortable in the water. Adult classes target individuals of varying ages
and abilities, including non-swimmers who may be fearful of water and swimmers
who want to learn competitive strokes.
