Neumont
University has produced well-rounded computer programmers and designers through
its Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Computer Science, game and
software development, technology management, and web design and development
since its opening in 2004. This innovative private institution has partnered
with high-tech corporations like Microsoft, Nike, eBay, and Oracle to give
students hands-on, face-to-face access to real-world projects in corporate team
environments during their schooling. Students can choose to work toward a
Bachelor’s degree in Web Design and Development or Software & Game
Development, among other programs. Although students earn a four-year
equivalent Bachelor’s degree, Neumont’s programs are taught at an accelerated
pace and may be completed in only two and a half years. Master’s degree
candidates can choose a one- or two-year option to earn their post-graduate
degree in computer science. Neumont University now also offers a technology
management degree, the Bachelor of Science in Business Technology Operations
Management (BSTM) which provides future IT professionals with education in a
combination of information technology and business management topics and
project experiences. Graduates of the BSTM program will be prepared to apply
for positions as business analysts, systems analysts, project managers, product
managers, and network administrators. This career track may lead to a Chief
Information Officer role in the future. Studies in the BSTM track focus on
management of networks, databases, and telecommunications, as opposed to coding
and troubleshooting. Students should expect to master principles of software
development, object-oriented programming, and, most crucial for the IT managers
of the future, human resource management. Graduates will finish the BSTM
program with the skills to run an IT department of a mid-sized to large
corporation. Accredited by the ACICS (Accrediting Council for Independent
Colleges and Schools), Neumont University has off-campus student housing and
financial aid packages that run from need- and merit-based scholarships to
federal grant and loan programs. For more information on Neumont University’s
