Craig Schmeizer founded Working Equity, a firm financed in 2009 by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (Google, Amazon, Netscape, Intuit). Working Equity offers Home Value Protection to homeowners nationally sheltering a home’s value against changes in the market. Mr. Schmeizer was previously the Managing Director of Portfolio Capital Corp, a consultancy to card issuers globally. He was also Executive Vice President, Marketing of the Credit Card Division at Washington Mutual; President of WaMu’s Insurance Subsidiaries and Senior Vice President at Washington Mutual Bank from 2004 to 2008. Mr. Schmeizer has also served as a Senior Vice President, Marketing at Providian Financial, a top 10 credit card issuer focused on the middle market until Providian was acquired by WaMu in 2005. Prior to Providian and WaMu, he was a Corporate Vice President at The New York Life Insurance Company. Mr. Schmeizer earlier spent four years with HSBC as Vice President, Credit Card Marketing.
