Dale Legan - President at Allied Universal Inc.Eugene, OregonWith a 20-year career in financial analysis and commodity forecasting, Dale Legan currently serves as President of Allied Universal Inc., a commodity brokerage company. He conducts domestic and international economic forecasting. Dale Legan wrote The Cycle Surfer forecasting software, along with visual features for TradeStation, including indicators for Elliott wave, confluence, and multicycle momentum. Previously in his career, Dale Legan worked as a Branch Manager with Jackson Commodities, where he held comprehensive management responsibilities, including advising clients in trading decisions, performing analytical procedures, recordkeeping, and maintaining accounts. Mr. Legan also directed regulatory compliance requirements mandated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and provided a daily company newsletter. In 1993, Dale Legan accepted a short-term position with Allen-Burton Commodities, where he entered client orders and performed technical analyses on agricultural commodity futures data. He monitored entry and exit orders for consistency and generated daily technical commentary on agricultural markets to inform clients. In 6 months with the company, Dale Legan accumulated a book of nearly 100 clients. In his time with Oracle Newsletters as a Financial Analyst, he interacted with current and prospective clients over the phone, monitored and reported on daily market action for gold, T-bonds, and corn to update the company’s commodity forecast hotline. He also composed seminar notebooks and presentations, and he developed software for Oracle Newsletters, including a Windows version of the multicycle forecasting program, the Cycle Summation Index. Over the course of his two-year term with the company, Dale Legan grew the clientele from 17 to more than 300 and expanded content at Oracle Newsletters to include agricultural commodities and gold, in addition to T-bonds.
