Dalell's Status Updates

Dalell Mohmed leverages over 19 years of proven capabilities in public, donor, and community service experience toward her role as Executive Director of KinderUSA, where she oversees global management and operations for the non-profit organization. Committed to developing creative solutions to incessant issues affecting children in the United States, Belgium, and Israel, Dalell joins a group of humanitarian relief workers and American physicians who ensure the provision of inherent rights such as survival, health, shelter, and education. Since February 2002, Dalell Mohmed has provided effective leadership for 36 international and 12 national employees for KinderUSA. Mohmed’s fundraising efforts for the organization have garnered over $3 million in 2009 alone. Since joining the organization, Dalell Mohmed has been at the forefront of a multitude of successful program developments and sustainable microenterprise initiatives, including establishing two bakeries that employ over 30 women and serve over 5,000 students, providing academic empowerment to 3,000 refugee children, creating a micro-lending community market initiative for women, and supporting a $1 million psychosocial trauma center backed by the European Commission. Before entering into her executive role at KinderUSA, Dalell Mohmed served in top positions with International Blue Crescent; Relief and Capacity Building; Deloitte & Touche, Tomatsu, LLP; and One Globe Associates. Apart from exhibiting a strong devotion to humanitarian efforts through her professional duties, Dalell Mohmed remains committed to civic service through generous sponsorship of various charitable organizations. Mohmed is a devoted donor of Habitat for Humanity, Scottish Rite Hospital, American Red Cross Disaster Relief, and several Dallas-based homeless shelters. She also personally volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, the Scottish Rite Hospital, and the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Dalell Mohmed graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington in Texas. Mohmed received her Master of Arts in International Relations in 1996. She remains an active member of the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organizations (ACEVO), Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance (ALNAP), Grantmakers Without Borders, the Association for the Defense of International Humanitarian Law, and the Charity and Security Network.
