Since 2003, Dr. Damon Fierro has worked as an Attending Physician at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama. Holding a medical license in the State of Alabama, Dr. Fierro specializes in the provision of emergency medical care. At Huntsville Hospital, Dr. Fierro works among a medical staff of over 700 physicians who provide numerous services, including cardiovascular, cancer, outpatient, and surgical services, among others. Established in 1895, Huntsville Hospital ranks as the second largest hospital in Alabama. Dr. Fierro works in the Emergency Services Department at the hospital, which houses the area’s sole Level I Trauma center and pediatric emergency medicine.

Dr. Damon Fierro received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine in 1996. Following graduation, he attended Vanderbilt University Medical Center to receive training in emergency medicine. From 1987 to 1991, Dr. Fierro studied biology at the University of La Verne in La Verne, California, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. While in college, he achieved recognition as a Natural Sciences Scholar, and his academic performance landed him a spot on dean’s list.

Dr. Damon Fierro holds membership in the American College of Emergency Physicians, American Medical Association, Madison County Medical Society, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. He supports his alma mater and other institutions, such as the University of La Verne; University of California, San Francisco; Vanderbilt University; and Huntsville Hospital. In his spare time, Dr. Fierro enjoys cattle farming, beer brewing, and reading books by his favorite authors, Joseph Conrad and James Kunstler.
