The website, which includes a Power Grid that charts the news buzz and net worth of certain powerful businessmen, was established to track the actions and endeavors of corporate and media leaders as well as anyone else with lots and lots of money.

Dan Abrams has said that Mogulite was established to shine a light on some of the most powerful leaders who often shy away from scrutiny as well as just having human interest stories about the rich and famous. The site seems to be trying to laud those wealthy individuals trying to improve the condition of the world and criticize those who do not.

Some of the tags on Mogulite.com are technology-inspired, while other posts report findings about public relations mishaps and the offering of expensive products for the person that has everything. Recently posted popular articles include a story about how hopeful technology entrepreneurs can succeed by talking in jargon and a video that features an uncomfortable asbestos industrialist on Jon Stewart’s Daily Show on Comedy Central. The website also hosts a job board that benefits both educated job seekers and employers who are looking to find new talent in the Internet, broadcasting, and print sectors. • The History of Columbia Law School
    August, 2011
Journalist, entrepreneur, and television host Dan Abrams completed his undergraduate education at Duke University, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Soon after, Dan Abrams enrolled at Columbia Law School, earning a law degree from the prestigious institution.

Columbia College first started teaching law in the 18th century, when the New York City university was still known as King’s College. During this “pre-history,” James Kent acted as one of its first lecturers, and future original Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Jay and Alexander Hamilton account for two of its most notable graduates. Nevertheless, it never established an official college of law until 1858.

The first class of Columbia Law School contained only 35 students, but the school made history as New York’s first true law school. Although most lawyers emerged from private training throughout this era, Columbia Law School appealed to those who wanted to utilize the law to “improve the conditions of things.” The facility grew significantly over the next 30 years, accepting nearly 500 students into its 1889 class.

Twelve years later, Columbia Law School printed the first edition of the Columbia Law Review, which remains one of the most important legal publications in the country. By the end of the 1920s, women were taking courses at Columbia Law School, and the school emerged as a major figure in International Law due to the establishment of the Parker School of Foreign and Comparative Law.

Today, Columbia Law School is respected as one of America’s premier legal institutions. Ranking in U.S. News and World Report’s Top 5 best law schools consecutively since 1987, Columbia Law School has produced U.S. Presidents, business leaders, Supreme Court Justices, and other significant figures in the United States economic and legal communities.
