A New York state resident with a passion for helping his community, Daniel Buzi devotes his career to social service, coordinating a program for an outreach organization. Also an English as a Second Language Instructor at a community college, Daniel Buzi helps adult speakers of other languages develop their language skills. Additionally, Daniel Buzi spends his spare time as a volunteer for a Poughkeepsie community garden. An alumnus of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, Daniel Buzi earned a Bachelor of Arts with majors in English and Spanish and a minor in Philosophy. During his undergraduate years, Daniel Buzi acted as Chief Editor of the literary magazine, Mosaic. Pursuing further academic advancement, Daniel Buzi continued on to Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, to earn his Master of Arts in Teaching. Exempt from taking the Praxis I exams, Daniel Buzi achieved perfect scores on the English Praxis II exam. Returning to New York, Daniel Buzi launched his teaching career. Employing his mastery of the English and Spanish languages, Daniel Buzi teaches English as a second language at Dutchess Community College. He drafts and executes English lessons for adults seeking to improve their verbal and written skills, leading intermediate and advanced courses. To best address the needs of his students, Daniel Buzi constantly evaluates ability levels and structures his class so students of the same capacity interact with and assist one another. When Daniel Buzi is not teaching at Dutchess Community College, he serves as the Dutchess Outreach GIFTS Program Assistant. Responsible for managing home delivered meals, the health insurance program, and emergency financial services for people living with AIDS, Daniel Buzi supervises food preparation, directs delivery, and assesses financial and medical eligibility of people in the program. Daniel Buzi also belongs to the Fall Kill Partnership Gardens, a local-food initiative open to the public.
