Possessing more than a decade of experience as a visionary leader in the telecommunications industry, Daniel Herscovici is currently Vice President of New Business Strategy and Development for Comcast in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this capacity, Daniel Herscovici identifies opportunities, incubates, and launches new businesses for the cable division. Spearheading the commercialization of new opportunities, Daniel Herscovici drives the process from start to finish, beginning with the investment presentation through operations integration, first market trials, and full business launch. Prior to his current role, Daniel Herscovici functioned as the Vice President of High Speed Data Product Management at Comcast. Daniel Herscovici’s responsibilities included expanding the reach of the Comcast High-Speed Internet service. Executing his duties, Daniel Herscovici leveraged opportunities to improve competitive position and pursue emerging market segments. He successfully led the launch of new network technologies and developed new product strategies to reach under-penetrated populations. From 1999 to 2007, Daniel Herscovici served at Motorola Inc., where he worked in a variety of leadership positions. Immediately preceding his move to Comcast, Daniel Herscovici acted as Director of Business Development & Product Strategy and Operations at Motorola Inc. Over the course of the three years that he held this position, Daniel Herscovici launched 15 new products with Verizon Wireless, effectively doubling the year-over-year return. Daniel Herscovici ascended to the role of Director of Business Development & Product Strategy and Operations from a role as Business Manager, overseeing a billion-dollar handset portfolio. Daniel Herscovici’s prior positions with Motorola Inc. include Product Line Manager and Project Manager. An alumnus of Boston University, Daniel Herscovici earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering before continuing his education at Drexel University, where he obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. After spending some time in the workforce, Daniel Herscovici returned to academia to acquire a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
