A dedicated educator and scholar, Danielle Bruns currently devotes her energy to instructing students at Santa Rosa Junior College. Accepting a position at Santa Rosa Junior College in 2006, Danielle Bruns immediately exhibited a capacity for engaging young minds, bringing her own love of learning into the classroom. Danielle Bruns concentrated her own academic studies on history, and now utilizes her extensive understanding of the subject to create actionable, conclusive lesson plans. With a specific focus on American history, Danielle Bruns illuminates the past in survey courses such as U.S. History to 1877, U.S. History from 1877, Race, Ethnicity, and Gender in American Society, and the History of Women in the U.S. since 1877. Prior to stepping into her current role, Danielle Bruns attended Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California, where she completed both her undergraduate and graduate coursework. Danielle Bruns received her Bachelor of Arts degree in May of 2003, subsequently earning a Master of Arts designation in December of 2004. Danielle Bruns underwent further preparation for a career in education by obtaining a social studies teaching credential in May of 2006. In this capacity, Danielle Bruns functioned as an Instructor in lecturing, grading papers, and facilitating student study groups. Outside of her academic and professional life, Danielle Bruns takes time to foster her passion for physical fitness. Danielle Bruns is an avid practitioner of Pilates, a strength and flexibility building system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. In her practice, Danielle Bruns engages the core postural muscles that are integral to maintaining a balance within the body as a whole, and are also an essential element of spinal support. At this time, Danielle Bruns is working toward certification as a Pilates instructor, functioning as an Apprentice Teacher at Fuerza Pilates in Petaluma, California.
