With more than a decade of professional experience on all sides of the public relations spectrum and a lifetime in the government arena, Mica leads grasshopper media with an invaluable perspective. As a veteran of Washington, DC, her combination of media experience and extensive political and corporate background give her an uncanny ability to make things happen. Before opening Mica Strategic Communications in 2003, Mica worked as a news producer and assignment editor at WKMG-TV 6 – the CBS affiliate in Orlando, Florida. Mica also managed a cross-country public relations tour for one of the country’s leading tourist destinations, Sea World of Florida.

Prior to returning to her native Central Florida, Mica lived and worked in Washington, DC, for several years holding positions such as a major donor fundraiser for the Republican National Committee and Special Consultant to US Airways for the sponsorship of the 2000 Republican National Convention in Philadelphia. Mica also pioneered special projects in the US Airways Sales and Marketing department. Born and raised in Winter Park, Florida, Mica earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
