At Tulip Pond Farm, Daphne Boogaard shares her lifelong love of riding horses with her clients. Located on 40 acres in Poolesville, Maryland, Tulip Pond Farm’s beautiful equestrian facilities are managed by Daphne Boogaard and a team of highly experienced professionals. Established in 1996 by Daphne Boogaard, Tulip Pond Farm started out with only a house and a barn. After extensive restoration, the space now holds a refurbished 16-stall barn that includes full amenities, such as a restroom and laundry unit, a wash stall, an office, and a sitting room for clients. Designed by Daphne Boogaard with an eye for style and elegance, the indoor arena features a climate-controlled viewing area with felt, blue stone, and rubber footing. Daphne Boogaard is a Maryland native who has pursued equestrian activities since childhood. Entering the Pony Club at the age of seven, Daphne Boogaard developed the same compassion for horses that her father had. Daphne rode as a junior in disciplines such as dressage and equitation. After entering the University of Maryland, Daphne Boogaard gained essential experience working intimately with industry leaders and participating in the university’s Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Team with Emmie Prettyman and Clay Hill Stables. Over the course of her undergraduate studies, Daphne Boogaard has attained numerous local and “A” show championships. Daphne Boogaard graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with an emphasis in child psychology. That same year, Daphne Boogaard launched her successful training and coaching business, Tulip Pond Farm. In addition to managing all boarding, horse training, and sales at Tulip Pond Farm, Daphne Boogaard coaches a team of 18 riders for George Washington University. Daphne Boogaard strives to impart to her students a deep respect for sportsmanship and horsemanship, teaching them how to properly maintain and care for the horses.
