A native of Canada, Darrin LaViolette possesses more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industries. From September 1989 through May 1990, Darrin LaViolette attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta, where he studied piping design and processing equipment. Upon receipt of his certificate in Process Piping Drafting (PPD) from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in May 1990, Darrin LaViolette immediately entered the field of piping design. For the next 10 years, Darrin LaViolette worked in various capacities for a number of engineering and construction firms across Canada. During this time, Darrin LaViolette learned all aspects of on- and off-site piping design, field engineering, equipment operation, and more as he gained the necessary experience to advance in his career. In August 2000, the Colt Engineering Corporation recruited Darrin LaViolette to serve as Project Manager and Construction Manager for its Talisman Alliance field office in Alberta. In this role, Darrin LaViolette held a wide range of responsibilities for the Colt Engineering Corporation, including management of all site construction and facility engineering; instrumentation and process design; equipment purchasing; and personnel recruitment. At the end of his two-year period with Colt Engineering Corporation, Darrin LaViolette joined Triton Projects Inc. as a project manager, where he gained further experience in the supervision of oil and gas construction. With a focus on staff coordination and recruitment of subcontractors, Darrin LaViolette ably fulfilled the needs of projects varying in scope and purpose, including compressor installations, module fabrication, aboveground emulsion and steam pipelines, civil sites, and more. From Triton Projects Inc., Darrin LaViolette returned to the Colt Engineering Corporation as a Home Office Construction Manager and Field Construction Manager. Other positions held by Darrin LaViolette in recent years include Home Office Assistant Constructability Manager for Jacobs Canada Inc.; Project Manager for VECO Construction Ltd.; Construction Manager for Capital Engineering; Home Office Construction Manager for KBR; and Project Manager for Pacer Corporation Ltd.
