Rothman maintains a busy schedule that includes completing classes toward a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an certificate in vocal performance at the University of Hartford and engaging in numerous philanthropic pursuits. She completes all of these activities and more while maintaining a high GPA. Prior to enrolling in the University of Hartford, Daryl J. Rothman earned a classical voice certificate at The Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division while still in high school. After training in classical voice for a year at Mannes College The New School for Music, she joined the University of Hartford in the fall of 2008. Since enrolling at the independent university, Daryl Julie Rothman has engaged in numerous student affairs and on-campus work-study programs. From 2009 to 2010, she served as a Residential Assistant responsible for as many as 60 student residents. During this time, Ms. Rothman organized and led monthly health and safety education discussions and participated in on-campus charity and advocacy events, such as the discrimination and persecution awareness program Tunnel of Oppression. Impressed by her work, Daryl J. Rothman’s superiors hired her to advise other Residential Assistants beginning in the fall of 2010. As a Mentor Resident Assistant, Ms. Rothman oversaw and trained 15 Residential Assistants while simultaneously planning campus-wide educational programs on topics such as social networking safety and drunk-driving prevention. Expected to earn her degree in psychology and her Undergraduate Diploma in Music from the University in 2012, Daryl J. Rothman plans to spend her final school year developing campus programs with the college’s Office of Student Life. When not engaged in school- or work-related activities, Daryl Julie Rothman enjoys contributing her time and resources to charities.
