Medical DoctorPhoenix, ArizonaDr. David Baratz, owner of Pulmonary Associates in Arizona, obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology from the University of Denver in 1981, graduating cum laude as the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Honors Thesis. In 1985, Dr. Baratz earned his Medical Degree at The University of Arizona’s College of Medicine and became a member of the American Medical Association and a Fellow with the American College of Physicians. Dr. David Baratz immediately embarked on his postgraduate studies, beginning with a residency at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, California. As a resident in internal medicine on the Irvine campus of the University of California, David Baratz, M.D., earned certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners. He joined the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society in 1988 upon completion of his residency. Dr. David Baratz chose the famous Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, an institute affiliated with the University of California, Los Angeles, to complete his fellowship from 1988 to 1991. While serving his fellowship, Dr. David Baratz’s primary focus included critical care, sleep disorders, and pulmonary medicine, allowing him to obtain certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. A year later, he joined the medical staff at Pulmonary Associates as one of a select group of trained physicians. Shortly after his move to Arizona, David Baratz, M.D., received recognition in the pulmonary medicine subspecialty of internal medicine. At Pulmonary Associates, which operates six locations through the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, he maintains affiliation with the Arizona Medical Association and the Arizona Thoracic Society.
