Meeting the academic needs of traditional students who prefer an urban education, as well as older students who want the flexibility to earn their degrees while working full-time or part-time, Georgia State University College of Law offers an excellent legal education at an affordable price. Having opened its doors to students for the first time in the fall of 1982, Georgia State University College of Law today encompasses a student body of nearly 700 students who take classes full-time or in the evening. Georgia State University College of Law has received accolades including multiple moot court championships and a number four ranking in health law by U.S. News and World Report.

“One of the many reasons I chose to attend Georgia State University College of Law is the quality of education offered by the school,” said Atlanta attorney David V. Houtsma. “The faculty of Georgia State University College of Law includes some of the most preeminent legal scholars and practitioners in the nation, and the resources for research and academic endeavors are some of the best in the nation. Moreover, because of the location of Georgia State University College of Law, students have access to employment, internship, and clerkship possibilities with the best law firms and many governmental agencies in Atlanta.”

The solid foundation of the education he received from Georgia State University College of Law encouraged David V. Houtsma to join his partners in the founding of the Albright, Houtsma, and Clark Law Firm in Atlanta. David V. Houtsma manages the firm’s real estate practice in such states as Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Real estate law became an interest for David V.
