David E. Stone, Ph.D. is a psychologist with formal training and experience in several area of psychology.

He is licensed as a psychologist in Georgia and New York State
and has been for 30 years. Dr. Stone has worked in inpatient and outpatient facilities, in private practice and as a professor of psychology. His experience includes over five years of service as a psychologist in the U.S. Army Medical Service. He is licensed to practice in New York State and in Georgia.

Dr. Stone received his Ph.D. at Cornell University where he was elected to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Following his graduation from Cornell he was awarded grants from the Psychological Sciences Division of the Office of Naval Research and the Research Foundation of the State of New York.

He is the author of over fifty published papers as well as books and chapters in books. He also holds the distinction of having been selected as a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (2004-2006). Dr. Stone has also been a Research Fellow at MIT from 2005-Present. His current research is focused on the applications of Social Networking and Virtual Reality technology to the practice of psychotherapy. On May 1, 2007, Dr. Stone delivered a speech at Harvard Law School on this topic.

Dr. Stone is a member of the American Psychological Association and a member of the Harvard Medical School Postgraduate Association.
