David Swedelson is a California condo lawyer, HOA attorney and one the most successful community association legal specialists in California. He is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he studied political science. Shortly after graduation, David Swedelson enrolled at Whittier Law School, earning his Juris Doctor in 1978.

In the early 1980s, David Swedelson, then an associate at a business litigation firm, served on the board of directors for his condominium association and has been representing and providing legal counsel for hundreds of California condominium, planned development and HOAs. David Swedelson has served on the boards of four different community associations, two of which were condominium associations, and he has fulfilled roles on the master and sub associations of the planned development where he now lives.
