David Topolewski oversees all aspects of business and strategic development for Qooco, an innovative company that utilizes cloud computing to teach students spoken English and Mandarin. One of his current objectives, to bring the Qooco technology to rural communities across Asia, would help people escape from generations of prolonged poverty. To achieve this, Mr. Topolewski has teamed with the Grameen Foundation in Bangladesh to help women in the region become self-sufficient. He is also working on a partnership to teach English to Indonesian schoolteachers, as well as on deals with a handful of other companies. In the future, Mr. Topolewski and Qooco will endeavor to expand operations throughout China, Cambodia, Indonesia, and the Philippines to provide people with the tools and knowledge they need to prosper. With his strong commitment to education, David Topolewski also contributes to a host of professional groups and charitable organizations dedicated to the cause. Many of these associations focus exclusively on language and foreign-language learning, such as the Applied Voice Input/Output Society, the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, and the Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, Inc.

David Topolewski brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his post at Qooco. In his previous position as Executive Producer with Cortina Entertainment, he led development on several acclaimed video games, including Jackie Chan’s Stuntmaster and Anpanman, based on the highly popular Japanese animated character. Mr. Topolewski garnered his first exposure to the video game industry with 7th Level, where he spearheaded the construction of a high-tech production studio that created some of the company’s top sellers, including Tuneland and a game featuring Monty Python. Aside from his experience with technology companies, David Topolewski also boasts a high financial acumen. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of two distinct companies: one a supplier of luxury foodstuffs, and the other an interior designer for major hotel chains. In the early part of his career, Mr. Topolewski performed financial analysis for a pair of investment firms.
