Dean Shortland is a Melbourne, Australia transplant who came to Nashville at the end of 2005 to help manage the Australian Festival as the Managing Director. He then assumed the position of International Project Manager for Emma, an e-mail marketing software company, where he used to work closely with Marcus Whitney. In addition to his work at Emma, Dean volunteers his time to help champion independent music in Nashville.
Dean is a 2000 graduate of Monash University and obtained his MBA from Swinburne in 2003.
