Debbie Berebichez is a talented physicist, and video host/producer of the series “The Science of Everyday Life.” She was a post-doctoral research scholar at Columbia University and the Courant Institute for Mathematical Sciences at NYU, where she studied alongside Robert Kohn and Michael Weinstein. Prior to her work in NYC, Debbie obtained her M.Sc and Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford, where she worked with George Papanicolaou and Nobel laureate Robert Laughlin. She continues to act as a PR person for Dr Laughlin and travels with him organizing science conferences for lay audiences around the world. Her thesis topic: Time-reversal for temporal compression and spatial focusing of acoustic signals in enclosures.
