With her father the owner of a construction company, Denise McCreary grew up in the building and real estate industries. During high school, McCreary worked as a painter with his company. She then attended Purdue University, where her father had attended and her grandfather taught civil engineering. Denise McCreary maintained a high GPA while studying sociology and anthropology. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1975. Afterwards, she became a licensed real estate agent in Michigan and Indiana and worked for her father’s agency. In 1986, Denise McCreary and her husband relocated to Tucson, Arizona, to fulfill their dream of building custom luxury homes in the desert.

The pair established McCreary Homes, Inc., now recognized as one of Southern Arizona’s premier builders. Denise McCreary and her husband, LJ, have operated the company for more than 20 years, with many customers returning for the McCrearys’ expertise. McCreary Homes provides clients with daily on-site supervision and easy access to the company owners. Denise McCreary also upholds a quality control policy, a series of checklists designed to ensure the home is built competently and each step in the process has been taken. McCreary Homes provides clients with assistance and knowledge throughout the process, giving tips and customizing the home to meet each criterion.

Denise McCreary also functions as a real estate agent with Tierra Antigua Realty, one of the largest locally owned agencies in Southern Arizona. As an Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS), McCreary’s expertise lies in luxury houses, including the communities of North and Northeast Foothills Properties, such as Alta Vista, Cimarron, and Ventana Canyon. She handles each step of the real estate purchasing or selling process, including preparation of all documents and communication with title companies, lenders, home inspectors, and more. Denise McCreary is a Graduate of the REALTOR Institute (GRI) and an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR).
