Divina Ramsey, Registered NurseSebastol, CaliforniaA native of the Philippines, Divina Ramsey completed her college education at Holy Name University, formerly known as Divine Word College. Located on the island of Bohol in Tagbilaran City, Divina Ramsey’s alma mater was founded by Friar Alphonse G. Lesage in 1947. Today, Holy Name University is regarded as one of the leading Catholic institutions of higher learning in the Philippines, garnering accolades for the quality of its educational programs. After enrolling at Holy Name University in 1995, Divina Ramsey chose to pursue nursing as a course of study, graduating from the rigorous program in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Divina Ramsey moved on to apply her newly acquired skills as a hospital nurse in Tagbilaran City. Additionally, Divina Ramsey cared for private patients and served as an Onboard Chief Craft Nurse on a large catamaran, a seafaring 300-passenger vessel. During this exciting period of professional and personal development, Divina Ramsey met her husband-to-be. After a time, the two were married and started a family in 2003 with the birth of their son, Chris. Ready to pursue new challenges and adventures, Divina Ramsey and her family relocated to the Hawaiian Islands. Over the course of the next few years, Divina Ramsey devoted the bulk of her time and energy to raising Chris. Eventually, Divina Ramsey and her family left Hawaii for California. After establishing a home in scenic Mendocino County, Divina Ramsey was offered a position as a staff nurse at Northbrook Nursing and Rehab. From 2008 to 2009, Divina Ramsey fully applied herself to her professional duties at the health care facility. Today, Divina Ramsey spends her days enjoying time with her husband and son, contributing to the activities of a support program for children with autism spectrum disorder, reading, hiking, and traveling.
