new to bigsight24DJuan Bracey has an incredible story to tell. This native of Jackson, Mississippi is a recent graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, earning his master of science degree at only 22. As an undergraduate at the University of South Florida, DJuan began what he hopes will be a promising career in research by investigating Brazilian racial relations and art movements as a McNair Scholar. Since then, he has worked as a research assistant to faculty at Georgetown University and the Centro Brasileiro de Analise e Planejamento (a think-tank based in São Paulo), and has interned at the Inter-American Dialogue in order find information on social and fiscal policy in Latin America. Many of DJuan’s accomplishments will not be found on his resume. As a teenager, he taught himself the Portuguese language with a pocket dictionary and no outside help. Currently, DJuan is planning to publish work regarding Brazilian peacekeeping missions in the Contexto Internacional magazine. DJuan hopes to work in the public or private sector, with the eventual desire to work in counter-intelligence. DJuan Bracey's Schools
