Douglas Zarkin commenced his career with Lintas: NY, a global advertising agency, where he began to cultivate his natural abilities in international marketing as a Media Planner. He later joined Saatchi & Saatchi as a member of their executive training program, a joint program with General Mills. As a key member of the General Mills account management team, Douglas was responsible for spearheading marketing initiatives that drove double-digit sales growth for General Mills’ cereal businesses. In 1995, Douglas Zarkin took a global marketing position at Grey Advertising and two years later, Ed Meyer, Chief Executive Officer of Grey Global Group, selected Douglas Zarkin to launch a new partner company called G WHIZ Youth & Entertainment Marketing. This full-service integrated marketing company focused on building global youth, entertainment, and leisure brands. In his role as Vice President of Business Development & Client Services, Douglas Zarkin led the domestic and international marketing for major entertainment clients, including Warner Bros. Theatrical, Warner Bros. Home Video, The WB Network, Bravo, The Food Network, and ABC. Zarkin also worked closely with non-entertainment clients, including names like Ralph Lauren Childrenswear, Aeropostale, Fusion Beauty, CoverGirl, Ralph Lauren Fragrances, Seagrams, W Hotel, InStyle Magazine, Reebok, The NHL, Dairy Queen, and TOPS.
