With more than two decades of experience practicing medicineMemphis, TennesseeWith more than two decades of experience practicing medicine, Dr. Adrian Blotner has earned a well-deserved reputation for being reliable, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful in aiding patients in the management of the physical and emotional aspects of chronic pain. Since 1988, he has overseen his private practice in pain medicine and psychiatry, located in Memphis, Tennessee. At his practice, he acts as Medical Director for the Stress Management for Chronic Pain Intensive Outpatient Program; in this capacity, he educates and treats patients for chronic pain over the course of four weeks. Dr. Blotner addresses the causes of chronic pain and teaches individuals how to manage it through a variety of cutting-edge techniques. He has also served as an Assistant Professor in the Psychiatry Department at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. In addition, Dr. Adrian Blotner acts as an expert witness in complex court cases involving pain medicine and psychiatry, lending his perspective to juries. Over the course of his career, Dr. Adrian Blotner has garnered invaluable experience in his field. In the late 1980s, he assumed the role of Medical Director at Jo Ellen Smith Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he served in Dual Diagnosis and Adolescent Chemical Dependency Programs, as well as in the Behavioral Medicine Unit. After that, Dr. Blotner accepted the position of Chairman for East Jefferson General Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry. In addition, after graduating from medical school he completed a fellowship and an internship at Ochsner Clinic & Hospital, as well as an externship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently, Dr. Adrian Blotner holds status as a Fellow for American Psychiatric Association, an honor bestowed on him by colleagues who recognize his achievements and excellence in clinical practice. Dr. Blotner has also earned designation as a Diplomate in both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., and the American Board of Pain Medicine, and he belongs to American Pain Society and Tennessee Medical Association.
