Dr. Allen Doran, a private practice Psychiatrist working out of San Luis Obispo, California, specializes in adult psychiatry with an expertise in psychopharmacology. His main areas of interest include the pathophysiology of psychosis and schizophrenia with emphasis on neuroendocrine and neurotransmitter mechanisms; how anatomical changes affect biochemical alterations and schizophrenic symptoms; and therapeutic drug trials and longitudinal descriptive studies in schizophrenia. Dr. Allen Doran has also led lectures and consultations on schizophrenia cases since the 1980s. He conducted such seminars as Schizophrenia: A Biological Perspective in 1983, Phenomology of Schizophrenia from 1983 to 1985, and Schizophrenia: Psychological and Biological Perspectives in1988. Dr. Allen R. Doran is currently a regular speaker for companies like Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pfizer Inc. Dr. Allen R.
