Doctor Brian West possesses over two decades of experience as a board-certified plastic surgeon in the state of California. He graduated with honors from the prestigious Stanford University Medical School with his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Medical Microbiology with honors, and went on to obtain his doctorate of medicine (M.D.) from the University of California at Irvine.

Dr. West’s surgical training has been conducted in some of the finest institutions in America, including Harbor-UCLA, the University of Kansas Medical Center, the Burnett Burn Center of Kansas City, the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children- Los Angeles. Dr. West is formally trained in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric plastic surgery and burn reconstruction.

Doctor West is a prolific author of medical articles. He has published in such respected, peer-reviewed journals as the Annals of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Journal of Pediatric Surgery, Microsurgery, and Pediatric Surgery International. Dr. West has also been published in many other peer and non-peer reviewed journals. Dr. Brian West was the recipient of a top research award from the California Society of Plastic Surgeons while in surgical training for his research in the use of ultra sound in medicine. While Dr. West was serving as an assistant clinical professor of plastic surgery at the University of California @ Davis, he taught general surgery and plastic surgery to doctors in residence.

During his career, Dr. West has given numerous presentations to a wide variety of medical specialty associations, including the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Pediatric Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. West is a proud member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
