Dr. Charles Avetian served as a practicing clinical physician for a decade. He acted as a Network Physician for Crozer-Keystone Health System and as a House Physician at Lankenau Medical Center, both in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Avetian also became an Attending Physician for the Mercy Health Network. Subsequently, he joined the practice of George K. Avetian, DO. Dr. Avetian later practiced at Asthma and Allergy Research Associates in Upland, Pennsylvania. Dr. Charles Avetian earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Villanova University in Pennsylvania and received a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

At Metropolitan Hospital, Springfield Division, he completed a rotating internship. Dr. Avetian fulfilled a residency in internal medicine at Lankenau Medical Center. He maintains board certification in internal medicine and holds hospital affiliations with Delaware County Memorial Hospital and Lankenau Medical Center. In 2000, Dr. Avetian accepted a position as Sub-Investigator for Asthma and Allergy Research Associates in Chester, Pennsylvania. As such, he has participated in more than 175 studies related to eosinophilic asthma, adrenal suppression, chronic idiopathic urticaria, perennial allergic rhinitis, and numerous other topics related to asthma and allergies.

In 2010, Dr. Avetian assisted in several randomized, double blind, and/or placebo-controlled studies, such as a phase II study of adults with asthma who experience symptomatic human rhinovirus infection. A 2011 study evaluated the adrenal suppression potential of a particular lotion utilized to treat pediatric subjects with atopic dermatitis. A member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association, Dr. Charles Avetian also belongs to the Medical Club of Philadelphia.

He supports nonprofit groups such as the Boy Scouts of America and various church organizations. For six years, Dr. Avetian participated in the Philadelphia Mummers Parade as a Liberty Clown. In other pursuits, he enjoys organic gardening, engaging in outdoor activities, and championship kite flying.
