As an active consultant and member of the computer science and software development communities, Dr. Cory Plock maintains a visible presence in numerous groups both inside and outside of his profession. To this end, Dr. Plock serves as a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Western Connecticut State University Foundation.

Dr. Cory Plock began his formal education as a student at Western Connecticut State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Computer Science in January 1998. While at the school, he cofounded and served as President of the Western Connecticut State University Computer Society. Subsequently, Dr. Plock enrolled in a Master of Science in Computer Science program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, which he completed before transitioning into a Ph.D. program at New York University where Dr. Cory Plock defended his dissertation and earned his doctorate in 2008. He went on to serve as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University, administering graduate-level instruction in computer programming languages.

Since January of 2010, Dr. Cory Plock has served as President of the software consultation firm Prolifogy Inc., based in Danbury, Connecticut. As the administrative leader of the company, Dr. Plock provides guidance, oversight, and leadership with regard to operations, project development, and long-term strategic planning.
