A Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Honor Society and recipient of the Kin On Distinguished Service Award, comprehensive and restorative dentist Dr. Henry Chin also garnered a service award from the University of Washington as a lecturer in Dental Education and Care of the Disabled. In Seattle, he maintains Capitol Hill Montlake Dentistry, where patients of all ages receive treatment and care in a professional, compassionate, and comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Henry Chin’s practice offers ample parking, and treatment rooms are equipped with flat-screen TV monitors for display of intraoral photos, X-rays, and procedural animations. The TVs also allow patients to watch their favorite cable channels during treatment, rather than staring at a blank ceiling.

Each treatment room also includes Pro-consult, an animated educational system. Following an initial exam, Dr. Henry Chin recommends a customized course of treatment, and Pro-consult enables the patient to view 3D animations of more than 800 presentations on general and cosmetic dentistry and specific orthodontic, periodontic, and endodontic procedures. Dr. Henry Chin also provides other technologically advanced equipment, including digital radiography for safer X-rays and the Cadent iTero Digital Impression System to replace the more unpleasant conventional method of creating impressions.

As a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Henry Chin offers such treatments as Zoom! 2, which dramatically whitens teeth in approximately two hours. He also provides porcelain veneers, implants, composite and amalgam fillings, and Invisalign teeth straightening. With clear and removable custom-made Invisalign braces worn for about 2 weeks each, patients can smile unselfconsciously while their teeth gradually reposition, typically over the course of 6 to 15 months. Many of Dr. Henry Chin’s adult patients who had never considered wearing metal braces have happily and comfortably worn Invisalign.

Arriving in the United States at the age of seven from his native China, Dr. Henry Chin later earned a D.D.S. from the University of Washington and completed a residency and fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. A member of numerous professional organizations and a Board of Directors member of the Kin On Health Care Center, he supports United Way of King County and the Community Care Network of Kin On. In his leisure time, Dr. Henry Chin enjoys outdoor activities such as jogging, skiing, and gardening, in addition to cooking, reading, and traveling.
