Dr. Khurram Pervaiz offers clinical expertise in minimally invasive surgery, joint replacement surgery, reverse and total shoulder replacement, upper extremity arthroscopy, nerve and tendon surgery, athletic injuries, and other related areas.
Dr. Khurram Pervaiz accepted this job after successful residency and fellowship completion at various renowned institutions. After initially completing his medical degree at King Edward Medical University in 2002, Dr. Pervaiz performed an internship in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. He then accepted an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. From 2010 to 2011, Dr. Khurram Pervaiz completed fellowships in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and then at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute as a shoulder and elbow fellow.
Dr. Khurram Pervaiz spends much of his time contributing to his field through research and presentations. The Journal of the College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Journal of Hand Surgery have featured some of his work. His research interests include limited wrist fusions, wrist biomechanics, carpal tunnel syndrome, and shoulder replacement surgery. His research has also been presented at events such as the American Society for Surgery of the Hand’s 63rd annual meeting in 2008 and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers 2011 Summer Bioengineering Conference.
