Marlin S. Potash, Ed.D: President @ Potash Management Corp.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Marlin S. Potash, Ed.D. has worked in the fields of psychology and behavioral science. She graduated Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude. After college, she was a seminarian at The Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. Prior to beginning graduate school, she began co-leading groups at the New Haven Center for Group Psychotherapy, a practice she continued during her years pursuing her graduate degrees in psychology. At Boston University from 1973 to 1977, Dr. Marlin S. Potash received her M.Ed. in Behavioral Studies, followed by an Ed.D. in Behavioral Studies. During this period, Dr. Marlin S. Potash held a number of academic and professional positions, including Research Associate at Yale University; Visiting Lecturer at Tufts University; Clinical Intern at the Advisory Resource Center at Boston University; and Instructor in Psychology at Emmanuel College. In addition, Dr. Marlin S. Potash served as both Director of Clinical Services and Resocialization Treatment Coordinator at the Columbus Nursing Home in East Boston at a time when deinstitutionalization of mental hospital patients had just begun, and nursing homes had an influx of new, and different, patients. In 1979, Dr. Marlin S. Potash began her private practice in psychotherapy and as an organizational consultant, which she continues to this day. Along with these endeavors, Dr. Marlin S. Potash has functioned as Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science at the Boston University Graduate School of Dentistry; Supervisor of the Graduate Internship Program in Pastoral Counseling at the Boston University School of Theology; Instructor of Programs in Management for Business and Industry at Lesley College; Consultant, Lecturer and Instructor at Harvard University; and more. Over the years, several other educational institutions have enjoyed the presence of Dr. Marlin S. Potash as an instructor and adjunct faculty member, including Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, the Blanton-Peale Graduate Institute, and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she continues to serve as Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry.
