Specializing in injuries from sports and other physical activities, especially those in the hips and knees, Nimish Kadakia, MD, treats traumas through arthroscopic surgeries. Drawing on more than a decade of education, which included practical experience, internships, residencies, and fellowships, Dr. Kadakia has served as a team physician and member of Irvine Orthopaedic Associates since 2002. In addition to his work at Irvine Orthopaedic Associates, his current projects include partnerships with multiple area high schools, the Hoag Orthopaedic Institute, Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital Irvine Medical Center, and Western Medical Center – Santa Ana. Dr. Nimish Kadakia also holds the designation of diplomate with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Certified in orthopaedic sports medicine, he received his license to practice in California in 2002.

Utilizing innovative industry equipment for surgery if required, Dr. Nimish Kadakia strives to treat patients through the use of more traditional methods, without resorting to surgery. His fellow medical professionals have commended him for his ability to create successful bonds with his patients, tailoring recovery methods and treatments for each individual. Dr. Kadakia also aims to educate his patients, discussing in depth their options and the process of recuperation.

Participating in athletics himself allows Dr. Nimish Kadakia to more easily relate to his patients. Among other activities, Dr. Kadakia enjoys running, bicycling, and swimming for exercise and fun. At times, he combines all three interests and enters triathlons. Other physical activities he partakes in include basketball, football, skiing, softball, and volleyball. He supports the efforts of the Hope Endowment, which assists underprivileged children in India. Nimish Kadakia, MD, lives with his wife, a speech-language pathologist, and two children.
