In 1992, Dr. Reuben Setliff discovered a powered surgical tool to improve visualization and precision in sinus surgical procedures. Four years later, Reuben Setliff published the world’s first article on minimally invasive sinus surgery. Dr. Reuben Setliff holds six years of educational experience at four renowned institutions. Beginning his academic career in 1960 at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Dr. Reuben Setliff concentrated on his Bachelor of Arts in English and French. He enrolled in classes at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, where he acquired his M.D. Dr. Reuben Setliff then completed an internship in medicine and pediatrics with the UAMS Medical Center.

Maintaining his focus on the health industry, Dr. Reuben Setliff obtained residencies in general surgery and otolaryngology with hospitals at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. South Dakota resident Dr. Reuben Setliff was affiliated with the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS).
