Engaged in her profession, Florida-based endocrinologist Dr. Vitra Shah holds memberships in the American College of Physicians, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Medical Association, the Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association. Certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support, Dr. Shah received the title of Diplomate in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Vitra Shah attended Broward College, garnering an Associate of Arts with high honors in Pre-medical Sciences from the Pembroke Pines school. Soon after, Dr. Shah enrolled at Florida International University to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Biology, completing her studies magna cum laude, before matriculating in the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Vitra Shah remained with the Tampa institution throughout her six years of post- graduate medical training, first as Postdoctoral Fellow in Endocrinology and an Internal Medicine resident, then as a fellow in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. While acitvely engaged in her Fellowship, she developed hands- on experience as a Physician at Moffitt Cancer Center and James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital. Currently, she is affiliated with The Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Care and is and active menber of staff as an Endocrinologist at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.
