Dr. Christopher T. Chia is a fellowship-trained aesthetic plastic surgeon who holds dual certifications from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. As former Program Director of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, he was involved in teaching aesthetic surgery to future leaders in plastic surgery. After compiling one of the largest series of patients in the greater metropolitan area who have undergone laser-assisted lipolysis, Dr. Chia currently serves as the Surgical Director of Park Avenue SmartLipo, the only certified SmartLipo training facility in New York City where other physicians come to learn the technique. He offers the minimally invasive procedure at Park Avenue SmartLipo’s AAAASF (American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities) accredited center in Manhattan.
